South African players once again dominated The Chance Global Finals this year. Charlie Tsotetsi and Melusi Zulu were both chosen as part of the 16 finalists. Last year it was Reyaad Pieterse and Jonathon King who were chosen.
Tsotetsi and Zulu will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime world tour from January 2013, travelling to the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom, to compete against the United States Soccer Federation Youth Academy, Juventus Youth Academy and Manchester United Youth Academy.
“I’ve been waiting for this chance all my life and it’s finally here! I’m very excited and will be working even harder to make it to the top, which is turning professional,” quoted by Charlie.
“I am very proud of myself and know that I’ve given it my all as I wanted this so much. The entire experience and what Nike has done for us is amazing. I can’t wait to get back home to celebrate with my family and friends,” quoted by Melusi.
Well done to the South African finalists as well as the rest of the top 16 who are from 12 other countries!
