Castle Scouts Ready

November, 2012

A press conference was held this morning by Alastair Hewitt, the General Manager of Castle Larger at the SAB World of Beer to announce the next phase of the developmental football programme, Castle Larger Superstars

After the scouts attended the training programme held by Dutch FIFA Instructor Roger Schouwenaar and South African Football legend Jomo Sono they are now ready to unearth the football stars of the future.

Provincial play-offs which will take place over the next 4 weeks begin this weekend to determine the provincial champions. The provincial champions will then represent the SAB League in the Nedbank Cup.

The scouts will be using the SAB League as their main platform to search for talent where there will be over 27 000 players taking part in the league.  Scouts will be placed in all 9 provinces and will have to report back to the Ambassadors on a weekly basis. The Ambassadors are Neil Tovey, John “Shoes” Moshoeu and Philemon Masinga.

Together they will pool their talents, experience and skills to choose the best 16 players in order to form the Castle Larger Superstars XI.
