The 2017 edition of Discovery Knockout Cup final took place on Tuesday,15 August 2017 at Diggers Rugby Club in Randburg. The Final saw schools from across Johannesburg from the U9 to U14 boys and girls age groups compete to  be crowned champions of their respective age groups.

This years edition saw Arsenal Football Club academy coaches Rupen Shah and Moaz Awadelkarim  travel from the UK to bear witness to South Africa’s soccer talent and help with drills and skills training between games during the semi-finals. Part of for the reason for their trip was to select the top U14 player from the girls and boys divisions who participated in the semi-finals.

The top players were announced during the finals which saw Azira Pereira and Aidan Wasserman winning the opportunity to train with the Arsenal Soccer Schools in July 2018.
