Forwardzone was proud to be part of the KNVB World Coaches course in Cape Town which took place on the 4th and 5th of October 2021.

The 2 day course was aimed at empowering local coaches from the Mitchells Plain area where the KNVB instructors helped educate coaches on how to plan training sessions specifically for COVID-19 and also educate coaches on a life skills program.

The in person instructors included former professional footballers and current educators, John Sibeko and Caeser Maphalla.

Andre Simellink, KNVB instructor and educator joined in from the Netherlands for the online sessions on both days where he discussed the basic life skills topic and the structure of football.

The 18 coaches and community leaders who attended the 2 day course found it to be very informative and uplifting and they can’t wait for the next one!
