MCDONALD’S U/14 SCHOOLS LEAGUE LAUNCH

July, 2013

In association with the South African Schools Football Association (SASFA), McDonald’s has kicked off the 4th edition of the provincial Schools League tournament “Developing Dreams” with complete success.

The official launch took place in Gauteng on Monday 15 July 2013, yet it was a few days later at the first event on Saturday 20 July when all the behind-the-scenes planning paid off. This event was the first of nine, each of which will take place on consecutive weekends in each of our 9 provinces with the National Finals to be held at Sinaba Stadium in Daveyton from 19 to 21 September 2013.

Since McDonald’s is passionate about developing the dreams of young people, the McDonald’s U/14 Schools League is a tool successfully being used to provide these hopeful youngsters a platform to showcase and refine their football talents and have the opportunity to be identified as the football stars of tomorrow’s South Africa. It is through this football tournament that McDonald’s also aims to ensure these youths are kept healthy and active and therefore perform better at school; enhancing their education for a brighter future. With the official launch this month, McDonald’s is already reaping the rewards of developing young players; nurturing their talents and helping them turn their dreams into a reality.
