The 2nd edition of the PSL Player Transition Programme has kicked off for 2024.
The PSL Players Transition Programme aims to equip players with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in various careers after their life on the field.
The programme, a collaborative initiative between Multichoice and the PSL, in partnership with the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) provides players with opportunities where they will attend in person classes, online classes, and training sessions that focus on personal development, career planning, financial management, and entrepreneurship. Through these activities, players are encouraged to explore their interests and passions outside of football, and to identify potential career paths that align with their skills and aspirations.
The Programme will allow players to network, connecting them with lecturers from different industries who can offer guidance and support. This allows players to build relationships and gain insights into various career fields, helping them to make informed decisions about their future.
The players participating in the PSL Players Transition Programme, will be provided knowledge and resources they need to navigate the challenges of transitioning from a professional football career to a new chapter in their lives. The programme recognizes the importance of preparing players for life after football and aims to empower them to thrive both on and off the field.
