SAFA AND KNVB WOMEN’S COACHING WORKSHOP

SAFA AND KNVB WOMEN’S COACHING WORKSHOP

April, 2014

SAFA Women and KNVB implement Coaching Workshops to provide women with the necessary skills to make a difference in their communities.
SAFA and KNVB thus brought Dlala Ntombazana on board; a community-based organisation that uses sport to enhance the quality of life for women through football and life skills programmes, and included 19 of their women in the Coaches Workshops.

The organisation’s vision is the empowerment and transformation of girls and women into leaders within their respective communities through linking soccer with educational programmes; using soccer as a platform for education and community outreach and involves the provision of capacity building initiatives in referee courses and coaching skills. Dlala Ntombazana was thus most suitable for the SAFA-KNVB Coaching Workshops.

SAFA Women and KNVB brought Forwardzone on board for the assistance, facilitation and running of the Coaches Workshop which was hosted at Sunnyside Primary School in Pretoria and was enhanced with 120 players who took part as demonstration teams for the workshop participants.
