Thulani Serero is a talented football player from Mapetla in Soweto who successfully made his name at Ajax Cape Town. He has worked very hard to be where he is today and it has paid off as he has signed a four year deal with Ajax Amsterdam. He is very excited about this new chapter in his life. Thulani also plays for the U23 and South African senior national team and has showed immense talent every time he plays. Last season he proved that he was the best player in the PSL by winning the following awards:

• PSL Football of the year 2011

• PSL player of the season 2011

• ABSA Premiership red hot young player in the PSL 2011

Thulani has already played 6 competitive games for Ajax Amsterdam and has made an excellent impression by setting up many great goals as well as scoring his first goal in a pre-season match against Brondby. He went on to score 3 goals in pre-season as well as receive a man of the match award. He also has a great opportunity to possibly play in the UEFA Champions League this season. Thulani has set an example for other players by showing that if you want to make a great success out of your career you can still do that by being humble, persistent, hard working and focused on playing soccer.
