Betway brings Andre Dede Ayew back to Ghana

This past week saw Betway, who have recently launched in Ghana, bring West Ham United Ghanaian born player Andre Dede Ayew and team mate Ashley Fletcher along with West Ham FC Officials to Accra for a 2 day in country activation.
The 2 days included an appearance by the players at the Betway Store in Adabraka and at the Accra Mall, where fans had the opportunity to meet the up-and-coming superstars, take photographs and get their autographs.

During the visit West Ham FC officials shared their expertise with 20 Ghana Premier League coaches in a workshop at the Alisa Hotel, where they were exposed to some modern football discussions and trends. Lecturers at the event included Ashley Kotzin, C.E.O of Forward Zone and Stijn Vandenbroucke, Head of Medical and Sports Science at West Ham and Tom Taylor, West Ham 1st Team Fitness Coach and Magnus Rex Danquah. Guests included Ghana Premier League holder Enos Adepa of Wa All Stars, last season’s champion Bashir Hayford of Ashanti Gold as well as coaches Michael Osei and Yaw Preko, representing giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak respectively. Ghana Football Association Technical Director Francis Oti Akenteng, along with CAF instructor Mas-Ud Didi Dramani also graced the occasion.

The event also included a sports clinic at the Lizzy Sports Complex in East Legon where footballers were shown the practical fundamentals of football by the WHUFC officials and players, selected Media guests were also invited to the event and were able to spend one on one time with West Ham FC.

 

The programme is the first of many projects the sports betting brand and their partner will be rolling out in the Ghanaian Market.
