Blue Label Telecoms “Women’s Day Tournament” was held on Tuesday 9th of August 2016, celebrating the young women of the Evaton Community in Sebokeng Tshwana.Evaton Soccer Park hosted the event for 160 school girls from Evaton in a Junior and Senior football tournament.

9 Junior schools and 7 Senior schools played 10 minute games throughout the day with Letsemo-Ilima Primary School and Katleho-Impumelelo Secondary School walking away Junior and Senior winners respectively.

The winning teams received sport equipment for their school, and each participating player received a full football kit, Gift bag, water bottle and participation certificate.

Blue Label Telecoms joined the event as the headline sponsor. The tournament acknowledged the progress of freedom for women in South Africa.
This is believed to be the first event in the Evaton Community reflecting the country’s determination to develop young women.
