The 2025 Castle Lager Rugby Championship saw the Springboks rise to the top once again, defending their title and securing back-to-back championship glory. After a fiercely contested tournament featuring Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, the Springboks claimed ultimate honours with a thrilling 29–27 victory over Argentina in London. This historic win not only earned the Boks their second consecutive title, but also marked their sixth Rugby Championship triumph overall – a further testament to the unmatched spirit, resilience, and excellence of South African rugby.
As tournament hosts for a portion of the fixtures, South Africa welcomed global rugby fervour to Ellis Park (Johannesburg), DHL Stadium (Cape Town), and Hollywoodbets Kings Park (Durban), where thousands of passionate supporters united behind the Green and Gold. With the Championship spanning continents – including fixtures in New Zealand and a neutral, history-making final at Twickenham – Castle Lager remained a proud thread of home, loyalty, and fan connection throughout.

Scrum-A-Bakkie
Teams of three battled it out in an adrenaline-filled scrum challenge against a Castle Lager-branded Bakkie – converted into a real-feel live scrum machine. The fastest team to drive the bakkie from Point A to B claimed massive bragging rights and the grand prize: Beer for a Year. Nothing brought out raw rugby intensity and stadium-side entertainment quite like it.



360° Video Booth
Fans who purchased a minimum of one Castle Lager beers received exclusive access to the 360° booth, where they captured their personalised game-day hype moment. From pre-kickoff chants to trophy-lifting reenactments, each clip was sent directly to their mobile device, creating shareable, unforgettable digital memories and amplifying Castle Lager across social platforms

The stadium atmosphere was ignited by a massive centre-field Castle Lager cloth reveal — a visual celebration of heritage, unity, and national pride, setting the tone for a world-class Test-match spectacle.
Half-Time: Chasing Chessy
Fans got their moment under stadium lights through an exciting half-time challenge: outrunning Chessy, Castle Lager’s mascot. Participants – kitted in Castle Lager merchandise and captured on video – sprinted for glory and attempted to clinch the Beer for a Year prize. The activation delivered laughter, suspense, and brilliant sharable content across all venues.
