The ET Radebe Foundation Annual High Schools Tournament makes a return since the last one in 2019 prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. The tournament is a netball and soccer tournament hosted for girls and boys for schools in Diepkloof, Soweto and surrounding areas. The tournament was held today at Diepkloof with 8 schools participating in the tournament and taking part in Netball and Soccer matches throughout the day. The tournament aims to develop and empower these kids through the power of sport and capture hidden talent across the different teams.
After an action-packed day, Fidelitas Comprehensive School walked away the Netball champions and Fons Luminis Secondary School walked away the Soccer champions for the day.
The ET Radebe Foundation was founded in memory of the late mother of our client Lucas Radebe. Mrs Emily Radebe was passionate about promoting the basic and holistic development of men, women, and youth living in Diepkloof and nearby townships in Soweto using sports and recreation, arts and heritage, and training. The ET Radebe foundation’s primary focus is on key development programs tailored to motivate, educate, and transform communities.
Forwardzone is proud to have been a part of this amazing tournament as a sponsor, helping empower kids through the power of sport.
