FIFA Women’s World Cup, Here We Come

On Friday, 23 June – Desiree Ellis, Banyana Banyana Head Coach, named the 23-player squad for the FIFA Women’s World Cup happening next month in Australia and New Zealand between 20 June – 20 August.

As part of the squad – Forwardzone clients – Gabriela Salgado and Robyn Moodaly – have successfully been chosen to report for national duty as part of the final traveling WWC squad, with Salgado making her World Cup debut.

South Africa, drawn in Group G at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, is yet to face three difficult competitors as they take on Sweden, Argentina, and Italy in the group stages in Wellington and Dunedin, New Zealand. But, the Banyana Banyana National squad has shown South Africa what they’re about after being crowned African Champions. The squad is focused, determined, and committed to a new level of excellence in taking the game of football to the next level for our country.
