Mamelodi Sundowns MultiChoice Diski Challenge team capped off their season with winning the MulitChoice International Challenge.
The four-team tournament was played at Eredivisie team Excelsior’s home stadium, Stadion Woudenstein.
Mamelodi Sundowns beat Excelsior reserve team 2 – 0 to progress to the final where they beat Japanese side Ichifuna 1 – 0 to be crowned inaugural winners of the Challenge to make sure the trophy came home.

The Challenge was one of the highlights of the Netherlands Tour that saw the team visit Feyenoord Stadium and The Amsterdam Arena and attend the state-of-the-art KNVB Sportsentrum, home of Dutch Football, for a training session conducted by KNVB coaches Johan Neeskens and Aron Winter.

The team was also privileged to have former Sheffield Wednesday and Dutch International Regi Blinker give a life skills talk on the challenges of professional football.

The final day of the 9-day tour was spent enjoying the sights and shopping in Amsterdam.
