The 2017/17 MultiChoice Diski Challenge Coaches Workshop took place at the Premier Soccer League Offices over the past 2 days.
Twenty eight MultiChoice Diski Coaches from all 16 PSL were in attendance. The workshop was officially opened by PSL Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza.
In keeping with development and making a real and lasting difference in SA Football, the workshop content looked at the overall development of the coaches and covered topics including The Coach as a Leader, Planning and Report Writing, Social Media Understanding and Management, Drugs & Doping in Sport, Nutrition, Visualization as a Planning Tool and Brand Development.
Adding a real-experience element to the workshop, Football Legends Benni McCarthy and Lucas Radebe took to the stage and spoke about the role coaches had in their lives in a past players discussion facilitated by Neil Andrews. The discussion openly and honestly touched on the negative and positive impact coaches can have and offered the coaches a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear from two of the best known and most successful players in SA history.
The workshop wrapped up with coaches inspired to take back and share the learning’s from the workshop back to their Clubs and Players.
Coaches will also be able to continue their personal growth through the re-sharing of the key points and skills of the topics discussed during the workshops.
