This past Tuesday, Betway announced their newest partnership with the Ugandan football team Onduparaka FC. This new arrangement will see Betway become the club’s official principal sponsor for the 2016/2017 season, with the first option of renewal taking place after this period.
This deal marks another milestone for the growing club. Having been founded as a student football team, their meteoric rise has seen them move from the 5th division 6 years ago, to defeating Lira’s Sporting United 3-0 at the Green Light stadium to secure their promotion to the Azam Premier League as the only West Nile team.
The passion of football runs strongly through the Caterpillars, as they’ve become known, and their devoted fans. They have managed to raise substantial funding to renovate and upgrade their home stadium for the forthcoming season. Now, they’ll also have the backing of a major sponsor in Betway.
Not only will the Betway logo feature prominently on the front of all the players’ shirts, but Betway will also provide the club with technical football and club management support as well as player welfare throughout the course of the season.
