Sports Illustrated South Africa has named Thulani Serero Newcomer of the Year for 2011.

Thulani has a 4 year contract with Ajax Amsterdam and his appearances for the team are becoming more frequent. He played and scored in numerous friendly pre season matches and he has appeared 5 times in the Eredivisie League, twice in the EUFA Champions League and once in the KNVB Beker Tournament.

 He continues to excel and his talent is becoming more apparent to everyone around the world. No matter how much praise Thulani receives he remains a hard working and humble footballer.
