In the lead-up to the highly anticipated DStv Schools Netball Challenge National Finals powered by Bestmed, Forwardzone, Multichoice, in partnership with PUMA South Africa, has proudly delivered a series of Ubuntu Coaching Clinics across South Africa – with impactful stops in the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, and Gauteng.

These clinics were more than just training sessions. They were a celebration of youth development, talent identification, and mentorship – reaching deep into communities beyond the major cities, and sparking new dreams in the hearts of young netballers across the country.

The sessions were led by some of South Africa’s finest netball ambassadors, including Proteas captain Khanyisa Chawane, former national team captain Bongiwe Msomi, and PUMA ambassadors Refiloe Nketsa and Samantha Ngubane, supported by the experience and insight of Karla Victor and Nomusa Nomsa. Together, this incredible team brought expertise, energy, and empathy – encouraging learners from Ubuntu Stream schools to hone their skills and believe in their potential.

Each stop along the way was filled with moments of growth – from mastering technical drills to learning the importance of discipline, teamwork, and leadership. For many of the participants, it was their first opportunity to engage with elite-level coaching, and the impact was profound.

At Forwardzone, empowering the youth through sport is more than a mission – it’s a responsibility. These Ubuntu Clinics represent our ongoing commitment to ensuring that every young athlete, regardless of geography or background, has access to quality coaching and the opportunity to thrive.

With the final whistle on the clinics blown, the focus now shifts to the DStv Schools Netball Challenge National Finals, set to take place 25–26 July at EG Jansen in Boksburg. It promises to be a festival of passion, skill, and unrelenting ambition – a true showcase of the emerging talent that these clinics have helped prepare.
