At Forwardzone, as the sponsorship management agency partnering with Volkswagen South Africa (VW) and SAFA Women’s Football, we’re incredibly proud to spotlight the remarkable “We Are You” campaign – a heart and soul-project that goes far beyond branding.

Launched under VW’s wider “Moving Women’s Football Forward” initiative, the We Are You campaign underscores a powerful truth: the National Women’s Football Players are not just national athletes – they are everyday South Africans. They are daughters, sisters, mothers, students, professionals – people whose stories echoed in homes, townships, cities, and fields all over the country.

This campaign doesn’t just celebrate their athleticism; it affirms that their journeys reflect ours. Their struggles, dreams, resilience – these are our stories.

Representation
The We Are You message taps into identity and belonging. By positioning the players as mirrors of the nation, VW and SAFA are saying: “When they play, they carry you with them.” It’s about shared struggle, shared pride, and shared triumph.
